Sunshine isn't that odd, I've met one sunshine before and she said her parents were never hippies they just liked the name.? I realize isn't not that common, but it doesn't strike me as that odd.? As far as middle names goes - who cares do whatever you want.

I don't mind weird kids names and I'm not about to pass judgement on them for wanting to name their child something different, unless it's really retarded or a common name purposely spell a weird fucked up way to be 'creative'

I got flack from my parents because I liked the name Jude for a boy. And that's a pretty common name but my parents thought everyone was going to scream "Hey Jude!" and torment him. I can't even imagine wanting to name a child Sunshine. :facepalm:

There's gotta be something else you and your significant other can agree on that's not going to force your child to hate you once he/she is old enough to feel the scarring from torment at school.

Newflash it doesn't matter how obscure or common your name is, if it's in any pop culture reference you will hear it.? I have a very common and popular non weird name and I get shit all the time.? Not to mention people can never spell it properly because they're ignorant as fuck (or something...the jury is still out on that one...) also my last name has made a considerable amount of people question if I am asian in my lifetime and trust me on this one - I am about the whitest looking white girl ever.? Shits ridiculous.

Name your child whatever you want. I don't have a name quite like Sunshine but my name is definitely a little weird. I'd rather a weird name than a common one myself.
